Had a fantastic two-days of racing at the 116th running of the Great Vallejo race.
The Basic Instinct crew was in top-form as we walked away with class wins for each day. A weekend of sailing and hard-fought wins – doesn’t get much better than that!
About 200 boats in various classes were competing in this famous race. For Saturday’s course, we started in Berkeley and sailed to the Vallejo Yacht Club. Sunday’s course was a race back. Conditions were moderately breezy on Saturday, but on Sunday it was blowing close to 30 knots! Made for some exciting sailing but nothing the team couldn't handle.
